CAT 35/36 - POWER / SAILER - FIBERGLASS.

These CATAMARANS were designed to be built using the FIBERGLASS panel construction and these methods are very simple to use and perfect for the inexperienced builder. Step by step photographic instructions are included with the full plans and patterns.

All of the developing is done in the computer and patterns are supplied for the female frame formers. Special pre-scaled drawings are supplied for each hull panel making it simple for the builder to build all of the hull and superstructure.

This is a POWER-SAILER CATAMARAN .. the bias is about 60% power and 40% sail ... the boat can be built as a power only vessel or with the added rig as shown. As for pure sailing CATS we have considerable multi hull experience going back to 1961.

If you want a good Power-Sailer-CAT or a CAT for commercial use then the CAT 35/ 36 could be your choice. See also the Cat 395-400 and Cat 460,465,470 which are a larger versions of the CAT35/36

Hi Bruce, The three cabin layout and two bathrooms plus a separate head accessible from the rear cockpit area makes for a great family boat. She has a very spacious saloon and Galley area for a 36 foot boat. Over all the boat is great and once we get the prop issue sorted will get back to you with more performance details. Regards Mike.

Hi Bruce,

I reached Huseyin Kurtogullari, the Istanbul contact who had constructed 35 as a commuter anyway, we have found and talked to him. Not that it would come as a surprise to you but I am sure you would still be please to hear that Kurtogullari have talked very highly of you.

The boat looks to have been built as a VIP boat, with bullet-proof windows etc and have served Arabs to CIA.

He was praising the boat of having served at BF 7 (Force 7 heavy weather), when, at a time the other public transport was stopped that the Catamaran 35 / 36 commuted without problems.

His speed was 18 knots when loaded with commuters. Just to share the abovefeedback.

This Cat 35/36 been customized by the builder and the changes are approved by the designer. If you plan to customize one of our plans ... Please check with our design office first and we will give you assistance and advice as appropiate.

Several of our power cat designs are suitable for use as Sport Fisherman. The Cat 35 (Fiberglass), Cat 39 (fiberglass or aluminum) Cat 46 (Fiberglass) are all suitable for this use.

PANEL CONSTRUCTION - Installing the pre-laminated panels:
See the way that the pre-laminated panels are installed on the frame-work. This photo is from the STEP BY STEP boat building photos that come with the Euro CAT 35/36 study plans and complete boat plans.

The Cat 35/35 boat plans have FULL SIZE patterns for the mold frames & full size panels plus considerable detail on building the frames and setting up the mold structure etc.

ANY person with handy-man skills can build the Catamaran 35/36 using our boat plans and written building instructions that form part of the plans.
